Photos deleted
Scan photos are measured in a few seconds, then deleted. We never save them.
Kept safe
Your account lives on Microsoft Azure, sent over secure connections, and passwords are stored scrambled.
Never sold
No adverts, no selling your data, and no tracking you around other websites.
Your choice
Download or delete everything yourself, any time, from the Me page in the app.
What happens when you scan
- Before your first scan, the app asks for your permission. You can take it back later.
- Your phone takes a few photos of your face and sends them to our server over a secure connection.
- Our server measures them in a few seconds. The photos only exist in memory while that happens.
- The photos are deleted. We save the results, like "Shine: Settled", so you can see your progress.
- Close up photos of your nose and cheeks are kept only if you choose to help us train new checks. You can change your mind any time.

This website
This website sets no cookies, and there's no tracking or adverts on it. The fonts and pictures all come from our own server, so nobody else learns that you visited.
If you send us a message with the contact form, we keep your name, email and message so we can answer you, and delete them a year after we've answered.
